I designed this facecloth for the TKGA contest, and planned it for Euroflax linen. If you use this size linen, you'll probably want to use size 3 or so needles. It works with Sugar "n" Cream, too, but you will probably want to leave off the last set of waves, and size 7 or 8 needles. My favorite cloth is made from Tahki Classic Elite cotton, without the last set of waves, but the linen version is very nice, too. Octagonal Crest-of-the-Wave Facecloth V. 1 (m) M1 - increase by making a firm backward loop on right needle. K1b - knit through back loop. (\) SSK - slip 1 as to knit, slip 1 as to purl, put both back on left needle & knit through backs of both stitches together. (o) L1 - pick up thread from between stitches on row below as if it had been a yarn-over, and knit p1b - purl through back loop. Cast on 8 stitches and divide on 3 or 4 needles; join in circle without twisting.
