It's a washcloth with a crossed lattice sort of pattern. I love doing cables and crossed stitches. The pattern stitch came from "The Harmony Guide to Aran and Fair Isle Knitting" but I came up with the rest. Janet said it was ok to share in that case. Lattice Washcloth Materials: 1 skein Sugar & Cream (4 ply worsted weight cotton), US #7 needles Gauge: not too important Cast on 60 stitches Work 2 rows of garter stitch Pattern stitch: Row 1: K3, P1, *slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in front of work, purl next stitch, knit stitch from cable needle, slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in back of work, knit next stitch, purl stitch from cable needle; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, P1, K3. Row 2: K5, *slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in back of work, purl next stitch, purl stitch from cable needle, K2; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, K3. Row 3: K3, P1, *slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in back of work, knit next stitch, purl stitch from cable needle, slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in front of work, purl next stitch, knit stitch from cable needle; repeat from * to last 4 stitches, P1, K3. Row 4: K4, P1, K2, *slip next stitch onto cable needle and hold in front of work, purl next stich, purl stitch from cable needle, K2; repeat from * to last 5 stitches, P1, K4. Repeat these 4 rows for pattern until almost square. End with row 4. Next Row: K3, *K2, K2tog; repeat from * to last 3 stitches, K3. Next Row: K accross. Bind off. It sounds a little tricky but once you see the pattern developing you can tell by looking which way the stitches should lap over each other. Hope you have fun with it.
