[Editor's note: if you know who the author of this pattern is, please contact me, Emily Way, at emily@woolworks.org. Thanks.] Knee Warmers 100 gms sport yarn; #3 needles CO 6 sts. Knit 4 ridges garter stitch (8 rows). Increase row - K 1, inc. 1stitch in next stitch. Knit to end. Repeat this row until there are 30 sts on needle. Now work 20 ridges (40 rows) even. Dec. row: Knit 1 knit 2 tog. knit to end. Repeat last row until 6 sts remain. Knit 4 ridges. Bind off - do not break yarn. Pick up o n one side of knee cap. (about 56 stitches). Work even in ribbing of K2 P2 for about 5-1/2 inches. Bind off in ribbing. Work 2nd cuff on other side of knee cap in the same way. Sew back seam. I had earlier knitted warmers in plain ribbing, but without the cap they fall down easily. Coming back to the list, I am hungrily devouring the posts. They all seem fresh and new to me. Thanks for being there. Lucille LNelson@fbo.com --- This pattern downloaded from Wool Works: the online knitting compendium http://www.woolworks.org/
