On her advice I did call the yarn store I received the pattern from and the store owner graciously said "No problem" with sending it on the list. So for all of those who wrote: CLASSIC MOHAIR BERET Size: Adult average. (Changes or a wider beret(not bigger in cuff diameter) follow in parentheses. Yarn: 1 50gr(1 3/4oz)skein of brushed mohair Gauge: With larger needles over stockinette st 4st= 1in Needles: Circular needles, 16" length, sizes 7 & 9 or sizes to reach gauge given above;one set of dpn in larger size. Instructions: With smaller needles cast on 78 sts. Work k1,p1 rib for 1 1/4 inces. Change to larger needles. Round 1: (K12, inc in next st)6 times--84 sts Round 2: Work even Round 3: (K13, inc in next st)6 times--90 sts Round 4: Work even Continue to inc 6 sts every other rnd as above 3(4)times more, working 1 more st bet incs on each rnd--108(114)sts. Work even until total length measures 4 inches. Top shaping: Round 1: (K16(17),k2 tog)6 times--102 sts Round 2: Work even Round 3: (K15(16),k2 tog)6 times--96(102) sts Round 4: Work even Continue to dec 6 sts every other rnd as above 5(6) times more, having 1 fewer st bet decs on each dec rnd and working even on rnds following dec rnd. Change to dpn when number of sts require it. When 66 sts remain and last work even rnd is completed, dec 6 sts EVERY rnd until 6 sts remain. Run tail through and fasten securely on underside. NOTE: On top shaping round 1 number of sts remaining should read: 102(108)sts. I left out the 108 on above text. Enjoy!
