My stash of patterns is growing. Thank you. Now I'll add a gift of my own. This is a very simple, yet pretty pattern for tree ornament bells that I got from my grandmother (turning 92 on Saturday!), years ago. I've made them in red for my tree, and as gifts, but as usual, there's no limit to the color choices. HOLIDAY BELLS lightweight yarn (I use sport) size 2 or 3 needles CO 14 st. Row 1: K10, P4. Row 2: K14. Repeat these two rows 21 times, or until you can count 22 "ridges". BO, leaving a 12" tail. With tapestry needle, sew together CO and BO edges. Border of stockinette stitch is bottom of bell, as it rolls under a bit. At top of bell, run tapestry needle through every other stitch, drawing it tight. Fasten off. Tie in bell for clapper. Happy Holidays!! Lynn Anne Sheepone@aol.com --- This pattern downloaded from Wool Works: the online knitting compendium http://www.woolworks.org/
