Susan Lazear, who owns the company, says the software will be out soon. Prerelease special is $70; thereafter it will sell for $85. In her article in Fashion Knitting, June issue, she shows how to design a sweater by using an example. There are screen shots from the program. You can set up your own size sheet, or use the custom sizes built in. And you have four choices - style, neck, armhole and shoulder. Within these choices, you of course have options like crew, boat, etc. It will give you instructions for both hand and machine knitting, and you can also use Stitch Painter in conjunction. Get in touch with Susan at Cochenille Designs, P. O. Box 4276-K, Encinitas, CA 92023, 619-259-1698. This program also has Windows and Amiga versions. And support is provided via CompuServe; Susan will be at Stitches on the east and west coast. Disclaimer: Just an interested customer and wanna-be designer. Lola J. Lee lola.lee@his.com
