We are a happy group of knitters that meets on the third Wednesday of each month at
7:00 p.m. at the Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center in Gloucester Courthouse, VA.
Each meeting consists of a business portion, a program presented by one of our
members, and Show and Tell where each member has the opportunity to share her
current project or something of related interest. We end each meeting with
refreshments provided by two members. Membership dues are $12.00 per year
collected at the September meeting. This entitles you to attend meetings, vote, and
receive our newsletter "A Continuous Thread". We also have newsletter memberships
for $6.00 per year. It is an excellent newletter and contains at least one pattern and tips
and techniques each month. We sponsor workshops annually. In the last few years, we
have had Joan Shrouder, Beth Brown-Reinsel, Alice Starmore; Priscilla Gibson-Roberts,
and Sandy Terp. We also have booths at several local craft fairs throughout the year.
These are a great deal of fun and sometimes bring us new members. Among our
knitters are retired professionals, homemakers, teachers, nurses, attorneys, computer
specialists, real estate sales person, and professional arts and crafts persons. If you
are near the Middle Peninsula of Virginia on the third Wednesday, please drop by.
