The Guild began in May, 1991 with a few simple goals.
To enjoy our knitting
To learn from each other
To share our love of knitting with the community.
The ways we share that love are constantly changing and growing with the guild. We love to teach others to knit, and we love to give our knitting away. We donate knitting to the following community agencies and non-profit organizations:
United Ministries
Chemo caps for cancer victims
Hospice
St. Franciis and Greenville Memorial's neo-natal units
Safe Harbor

Guild encompasses North and South Carolina and people from other States are free to join. We currently have 148 members. We have no meetings, however once a year in the Spring we have a not-for-profit seminar featuring many of the best demonstrators in the country. We encourage our members to demonstrate at our seminars too, feeling the experience might encourage members to become national demonstrators and give them the much needed expertise. We have a monthly newsletter and invite people from all over the world to contribute to it. An article will gain the writer a free 100 word ad in the newsletter. Members can advertise in the newsletter for 10 cents per word. Dues are $15 per year, member year runs from October to October and dues are not prorated. (if you join in February, you need to rejoin in October). This is one of the best newsletters in the country, giving hints, tricks, techniques and news of upcoming MK events in the 2 states and surrounding areas.
