The guild meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of each month at the above address. Our focus is upon support, education, charity and fun. Charity knitting for premies, chemo patients and Afghan refugees are a few projects undertaken. The meetings include a time of show and tell which is the members favorite time. A retreat or workshop with nationally recognized teachers is sponsored once a year.

We meet from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at the President's home. For directions call the contact person. Dues are $12. a year. In addition to our own knitting projects, we knit for a charity project each year. We go on yarn crawls twice a year, and we often sponsor knitting retreats in the local area. We welcome other knitters to join our guild. Bring something to show for Show and Tell. This is our favorite part of the mtg.

The Guild holds regular meetings the second Saturday of each month at the First Covenant Church in Jamestown. The meetings are 10:00-11:00AM followed until 12:00PM with a program/work session. Community project items are given to the local shelter for abused women and children. Educational programs for children are being set up.

We meet the first Saturday of each month at the Liverpool Public Library and the second Tuesday of each month at the Baldwinsville Public Library. Our dues are $5.00 per year. We organized in March of 1997, so are still feeling our way. We are almost all hand knitters, so this is where our emphasis is right now. We are trying to get a feel for the charity knitting needs of the community; which organizations would best benefit from our help.

Needles and Skeins meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Vestal Library, Vestal Parkway, Vestal, NY 13850 from 9:30 to 11:30am. We are affiliated with The Knitting Guild of America and focus on educating ourselves about knitting and improving our techniques and creativity. Our meetings are program oriented focusing on skills and techniques the guild wants to learn. We are a new guild, starting February 1997 and have had a fabulous response so far, 40+ members by May. All knitters, reguardless of skill level are welcomed. We all have something to learn from each other. Dues are $10 annually to belong to the local chaper and $23 to join TKGA. A newsletter is published and sent to all members bi-monthly.

We meet the second Saturday of every month from 10:00 am til noon. The meeting is show and tell, and then a technique demonstration. Members are encouraged to try new techniques. We are making swatches to be made into afghans for needy people. Mittens are gathered the end of November for a mitten tree, for local children. There are beginning knitters in the group and very experienced. Main rule is that there is no criticism. Dues are $30 a year, which covers membership in TKGA as well as the local chapter. Newsletter is in the offing.

RKG meets on the 2nd Monday of the month from September through May at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 597 East Ave., Rochester, at 7:30 pm. Our meetings include lectures, demonstrations, and workshops on topics related to fibers and knitting. We also hold an annual special seminar with top knitters and designers of the caliber of Sidna Farley and Beth Brown-Reinsel. Special programs include an annual yarn auction, fashion show, and pot-luck dinner. Members can borrow books from the Guild library, and receive discounts at the roughly 1 dozen member shops. Non-members may attend one meeting at no charge. Membership dues are only $10.00/year from September through September. Many members knit for charity, and we have a book of patterns for charity projects.

Our "Queen City" guild currently has 100+ members and meets twice a month from September to June. At every meeting we have special programs - from knitting techniques to our much anticipated annual yarn auction. Our dues are $12 per year and includes our bi-monthly newsletter, "Knit and Knibble".
