Pointe Knitters is a group of hand knitters who meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:30p.m. An instructor teaches us new and old techniques with pattern projects. Our dues are $12, which includes a newsletter. You can bring in your own project to work on or get help with.

The All Thumbs Knitting Guild is affiliated with TKGA. Our dues are $10 and we ask that everyone join TKGA. The All Thumbs Knitting Guild is in its second year with 26 very active members of all levels of knitting. We meet the third Monday of the month September through June at the Lexington Town Hall. We always welcome new members.

Meet 4th Thursday at the Gaylord Community Center - Elm St. Noon for brown baggers; 1 pm meeting begins. Pop machine on premises. Affiliated with TKGA. Dues $10/year, include monthly newsletter. Must be TKGA member for full membership. Permanent guests welcome. Not necessary to join to attend regularly. Focus is on promoting knitting as a 21st century activity and bringing knitters into the companionship of our group. Learning is large part of our meetings. Show and tell, sharing, and community service projects are usually underway also. Members and guests have experience ranging from beginners (We have one member who doesn't knit at all.) to knitters who are experimented with design, including some knitting camp/convention veterans. Bookshelf and pattern library growing monthly. Recent activities -- Luncheon trips to out-of-town yarn shops, Vogue Fall '97 issue trunk show/open house, group excursion to Traverse City Park Place Hotel knit fashion luncheon. Scheduled future events -- Another out of town yarn shop/luncheon, Vogue trunk show of new manufacturer's yarns with sample garments, educational presentations by members who are working toward master knitting certifications.

Our 50 member guild is affiliated with TKGA and meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Plymouth Salvation Army from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. We have an educational program each month, frequently given by members. Please join us!

We usually meet informally at least once during the summer and are active in community projects such as sweaters for the Headstart Program and caps for preemies.
