We are an educational, non-profit organization that was founded and has been a part of The Knitting Guild of America since 1986. Our purpose is to promote and share knowledge of the art and craft of knitting, and to be a contributing part of the local community.

Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month from 7-9pm at the Main Cafeteria of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory on Johns Hopkins Road in Laurel, Maryland.

Our meetings are the first Wednesday of each month. We have our meeting room starting at 7:00 in the evening with the actual meeting and program to start at 7:30. So come early and chat with us.

Harford Knitting Guild meets formally the first Thursday of each month, September through June. With each meeting we try to have a special presentation/teaching seccession. We have one summer (picnic)get together in August. There are also several mid month informal meetings just to knit and chat. All knitting experience levels are welcome. Those non-knitters that would like to learn are welcome as well. Many members participate in local Knitting and Spinning Fairs and Exhibits. Each Spring we have a weekend retreat at which we to learn new techniques, share our toils of the Winter, become better acquainted with members, old and new, and welcome the Spring with laughter, good company and fun food. Our annual dues are $10.

We are a fun and friendly group of knitters from around the Washington Metropolitan area.
We meet the first Wednesday of the month from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in College Park.
Our activities range from "Show and Share" to educational programs on many topics such as:
knitting socks; dyeing wool; finishing techniques; spinning fiber; problem clinics; swap meets, etc.
We also organize trips to regionall knitting conventions and the annual Maryland Sheep and Wool
Festival.
Annual dues is $6.00 for membership and monthly newsletter
